   I bought this indoor air quality monitor to monitor my 3d printing workshop, which I am using FDM and DLP printers which use some nasty chemicals. The Lifebasis Airquality monitor tests for many pollutants including Formaldehyde, Toluene, TVOC & VOC, PM – PM1.0/PM2.5/PM10 /Air Quality Index(AQI)/ Temperature/Humidity essential in my 3d printing workshop, there is an alarm function which I have never used. My only gripe is that it doesn’t record a to a downloadable file which would be useful, but not anywhere in this price range anyway. It has a built-in a 2Ah rechargeable battery which lasts about 8 hours, although I leave it plugged when using. The readout is via a 2.8” colour LCD display which is easy to read. The function I really like is the ability to calibrate the monitor which I show in the video. Recommended.

   Good monitor to get some insight of polluted air, Reading of the humidity is affected by where you’ve started your device and seems to be little bit of if you change place with greater difference in humidity.The thing that annoys the most is that you don’t have ability to turn of OR mute alarm so if any reading is in bad status device will alarm constantly and alarm sound/ beeps is similar to EKG beeps so you will have feeling that you are in the hospital. Also The most severe AQI status has typo.

   Battery life is about 4 hours. Reaction time is fast for all sensors except HCHO(formaldehyde) and TVOC(total volatile organic compounds) which take a few minutes to come on initially then they react quickly from then on. Accuracy for humidity seems very good comparing with other instruments in the same environment, although a bit slow to react. I did notice that after drinking red wine my breath made TVOC go to 9.999!The screen contrast is poor, on a sunny day outside I could not see anything unless I found a shady area to read the screen. The thing beeps when warning of an AQI breach but you can’t switch it off and it can be annoying.A typo on the screen (series should say serious) indicates the Chinese origin and does not instill confidence (see photo) but as this was the cheapest meter I could find with the range I wanted I am very satisfied. The danger photo was taken in a kitchen during a serious fry up!Also, it does act as a fart meter! TVOC goes to full danger 9.999 if someone cuts the cheese!-)UPDATE:Temperature sensor is way off. Humidity is about right. TVOC/HCHO counts down from 200 to zero before starting up. PM levels still matching a separate sensor (see photos) so I am reasonably confident they are accurate. On a bad day outside both devices agreed within 2 points of each other that the PM 2.5 level was 560! No photo due to low contrast making it impossible to get an image in the sun. It is still a great entry level meter and I am going to invest in a higher end meter.

   Having used this for couple of months now I can say it’s a solid device, especially for the money. As long as you interpret results with reason, e.g. when measuring vocs use relative to a good reading. In centre of London close to traffic vocs get above 0.5, particle count 20+. Away from traffic you get 0.1 and less than 5 respectively. Thoroughly recommended. Could be further improved by allowing history reading and connect to wifi.

   I had another air quality monitor before this one. This shows PM2.5 much lower then that one. I am not sure which one is more accurate, but this one seems to use humidity data while calculating PM2.5, so it is possible that this one is correct. Until I can be sure of its accuracy (and I have doubts) I am leaving only 4 stars, but I really think it is one of the best such monitors I have seen.

   Permet de mesurer notamment les particules fines 10, 2,5 et 1. M’a permis de m’assurer qu’il n’y avait pas de « poussières » en provenance des combles dans ma VMC SF dont les prises d’air communiquent avec ces combles.Un défaut l’indicateur de charge de batterie est très faut. Le « low batterie » coupe l’appareil alors que l’indicateur donne batterie pleine.

   Avere un misuratore affidabile ed economico per misurare il grado di inquinamento dell’aria interna ed esterna permette di scoprire autonomamente i livelli di contaminazione a volte così così alti e molto fuori limite massimo che mai sono stati riscontrati dall’ Ar…. da chi vigila sulla nostra salute ambientale ! tra un sonno e l’altro!

   Der Preis dieses Geräts, gemessen an seiner Vielfalt, ist unschlagbar aus unserer Sicht. Drei Feinstaubarten, HCHO, TVOC, Temperatur und Luftfeuchtigkeit können mit diesem Gerät gemessen werden. Wie hier bereits kritisch erwähnt, liegt dem Gerät keine deutsche Anleitung bei, nur eine Anleitung in Englisch.Eine deutsche Anleitung kann beim Anbieter angefordert werden. Wir erhielten als Antwort 2 Fotos einer deutschen Anleitung. Zumindest war das in unserem Fall so. Die Anleitung ist verständlich aber recht knapp gehalten und zu einem uns wichtigen Punkt konnten wir auch in der deutschen Anleitung leider keine klare Aussage finden, der Messung von HCHO und TVOC.Sowohl in der englischen als auch deutschen Anleitung ist von einer Kalibrierung vor der Messung von HCHO und TVOC die Rede. Ob dies nun einmalig oder vor jeder Messung zu geschehen hat, wird nicht genau beschrieben.Im Englischen heißt es:The initial values of formaldehyde and TVOC are 1.999 and 9.999, the device needs manual calibration before working.In der Deutschen Anleitung heißt es:Die Anfangswerte von Formaldehyd und TVOC sind 1.999 und 9.999. Sie müssen eine manuelle Kalibrierung durchführen.Aus beiden Texten geht leider nicht hervor, ob die Kalibrierung nur einmalig vor dem ersten Betrieb oder IMMER nach jedem Einschalten durchzuführen ist, möchte man verlässliche HCHO- und TVOC- Werte erhalten.Eine Anfrage beim Anbieter, der schnell und sehr freundlich antwortet, wurde nur mit einem Verweis auf die Anleitung beantwortet.Wir kalibrieren das Gerät jetzt immer NACH JEDEM EINSCHALTEN, legen wir Wert auf „verlässliche“ HCHO- und TVOC-Werte und halten dies auch für plausibel. Man könnte auch einmal Werte mit und ohne Kalibrierung nach dem Einschalten vergleichen und dann sehen ob diese sehr voneinander abweichen. Ich denke, die Kalibrierung IMMER nach dem Einschalten des Geräts durchzuführen ist die verlässlichere Methode, an die wir uns jetzt halten:Die Kalibrierung für HCHO und TVOC ist einfach.Nach dem Einschalten das Gerät an einen Ort mit „sauberer“ Umgebung legen und es dort an der frischen Luft ca. 5 Minuten „atmen“ lassen. Dann den Hauptschalter des eingeschalteten Geräts einfach zweimal drücken, wie ein Doppelklick mit einer Maus. Das Gerät hat sich nach dem “Doppelklick” die saubere Luft als Referenz „gemerkt“ und man kann es an einem anderen Ort, in Räumen etc. messen lassen und HCHO und TVOC beobachten. Zählen nach dem Einschalten die Werte von HCHO und/oder TVOC kontinuierlich runter, dann mit dem doppelten drücken des Haupschalters noch warten, bis die Werte bei Null angekommen sind und ab dann erst das Gerät ca. 5 Minuten “atmen” lassen, mit anschließendem zweimaligem drücken des Hauptschalters. Wir legen das Gerät zur Kalibrierung z.B. immer auf die Terrasse.Eine kleine Kurz-Anleitung für das Gerät würde aus unserer Sicht demzufolge so lauten:Nach dem Einschalten können drei Arten von Feinstaub, Temperatur und Luftfeuchtigkeit sofort gemessen werdenSollen HCHO und TVOC gemessen werden, eine Kalibrierung nach dem Einschalten durchführen (s.o.).Was wäre sonst noch zu erwähnen.Geladen wird das Gerät über eine Micro-USB Buchse. Das ist praktisch, da man solche Buchsen und Ladegeräte bei Handy, PC und Co. vielfältig vorfindet. Ein USB-Kabel liegt dem Gerät bei, ein Netzteil nicht.Eine Ladeanzeige gibt es bei eingeschaltetem Gerät im Display. Bei ausgeschaltetem Gerät wird nichts angezeigt, keine LED etc. Man lädt dann so lange bis man meint es reicht. Das Gerät wird mit einem fest verbauten Akku betrieben.Das Gerät ist äußerst empfindlich und reagiert „auf alles“, auch Parfüm usw. Es sollte demzufolge gut überlegt platziert werden.Zu Feinstaub, HCHO und TVOC mussten wir uns im Web erst einlesen. Die Informationen dazu sind vielfältig.Gemessen wird immer in Echtzeit. Es können keine Logs mit Zeitstempel, Profile etc. gespeichert werden.Anfragen können an den Anbieter in Deutsch gestellt werden. Sie werden schnell und freundlich beantwortet, in „Google-Übersetzer-Deutsch“. Das geht mehr als in Ordnung und es ist zu verstehen.Wir können das Gerät aus unserer Sicht klar empfehlen. Ein Gerät welches Drei Arten von Feinstaub, Formaldehyd (HCHO), eine Gesamtmenge aller flüchtigen organischen Verbindungen (TVOC), Temperatur und Luftfeuchtigkeit anzeigt, konnten wir bei keinem anderen Anbieter zu solch einem günstigen Preis finden.Wir nutzen das Gerät immer wieder mal, teils aus Neugierde, teils aus gutem Grund…

    Strumento con buon rapporto qualità/prezzo. Molto sensibile l’analisi del particolato che è molto vicina ai valori forniti dalle centraline. Un po’ lento il sistema di rilevazione di formaldeide che impiega 3 minuti per avviarsi, comunque anche questo abbastanza affidabile, considerato che all’aperto si avvicina allo zero e cresce rapidamente negli spazi chiusi.
