Not bad
It does what it says. Not the sturdiest panel but it’s not bad for the price. I would buy it again.

First impressions looked promising. My purchase was to obtain and install a 40 cm x 40 cm ceiling access door. The product seemed to tick all theboxes, value for money, functional, easy to install and visually attractive. It soon became clear that there was a serious design error. As a retired design engineer myself I soon realised that the method adopted to retain the access door closed would rely on two moulded pips engaging with the frame. It became obvious that the mouldings were inadequate to cope with the weight of the door. Flexing the frame would only exacerbate the problem. Personally, unable to return the product I was forced to design and build a secure add-on retaining bracket (as photo) to ensure the door remains closed. Sadly, this should not have been necessary.

Very fragile , gets broken before installation , is not staying close , I will have to improvise some sort of looking mechanism! Not worth the money !

Don’t come with any instructions on how to fit them in a ceiling space ( you need to put some wood batons inside to screw into), but look great once fitted and isn’t flimsy like the plastic ones.

I am using this as an access hatch in the room below an en suite shower (keeps on leaking). I cut the hole in the ceiling and fitted the panel – which was straight forward enough. However the little round plastic bumps to hold the hatch in are not large enough for it to be stable and it keeps on falling open. I have had to put white electrical tape all around to keep it closed. Not the look I wanted.I would have returned it if I hadn’t have already fitted the panel.
