MOTOPOWER MP69033 Pro OBD2 Scanner Code Reader Check Engine Fault Light Diagnostic Scan Tool with Battery TesterThis is a decent OBD 2 error code reader and reset tool for your car. It also has a battery testing facility built in which is fairly unusual at this price point. It is very simple to use, and all you do is plug the tethered cable into the OBD port in your car. I find this sort much easier to use that the cheaper cable less versions that you need to connect to your phone via Bluetooth. The unit apparently has over 10,000 error codes stored in the machine, so it should be able to diagnose most issue. Be aware that unlike some of the more expensive tools you will not be able to reset servicing information, and it will also not be able to diagnose braking system ABS error codes or Airbags.

Was skeptical at first but wow, this thing just works. Plugged it into my car and it pulled up codes in seconds. Even told me about a loose gas cap which probably saved me a trip to the garage. Great tool for any DIY car person.

I plugged this reader into my OBD port and saw a clear list of fault codes appear on its screen. A quick lookup in the built-in library pointed me to a loose gas cap issue. I cleared the code and checked battery voltage before heading out—no more check-engine light. Live data streams let me watch coolant temperature climb to normal, and engine speed readouts confirmed smooth idling. It fits comfortably in hand and its cable reaches the port in tight engine bays. No apps required; results appear instantly.

Great little device for quick and easy car diagnostics. It reads check engine codes accurately, gives clear explanations, and the built-in battery tester is a useful bonus. Setup is simple—just plug it in and go. Perfect for DIY car owners who want to save time and money.

I ordered this mainly to see how my battery was performing. My battery is 7 years old and ran flat whilst away from home. It had to be jump started so I wanted to see what was going on. The tool was easy to use. I haven’t investigated the many other functions yet and I can see it will be useful for other diagnostic needs.

Super Simple To Use.
Works great. Simple to use and took about a minute to find out that my thermostat was the issue causing my check engine light to come on. I bought the newest version for a couple of dollars more and it lets you check your battery and alternator too. A great buy at $28 . It powers up as soon as you plug it into your vehicle. No batteries needed.
