I still remember having to hunt for HDMI KVMs back in the day when they were super expensive. This one is a great sign of those times being over 🙂 What can I say, it works as intended, whether for a home lab or perhaps a small server setup at your business, you can’t ask for better value. This worked well, enabling the sharing of a HDMI monitor and USB keyboard and mouse between two PC’s.I was using a wireless usb keyboard and mouse, the dongles go into one side of the switch along with the HDMI lead that goes to the monitor, with an HDMI leads from the other side of the switch going to the PC’s along with a USB lead to each PC (the USB type A to USB type A leads are supplied).Switching between the PC’s is accomplished by pressing a small button on the top of the switch and this is accompanied by the small light bar on the top of the switch changing colour from green to blue or blue to green, one colour to indicate each monitor.There is a fly lead supplied that remotes the button enabling the switch to be tucked away.Worked flawlessly in use, instantly switching the picture with the usb mouse and keyboard being useable in a second or two once the PC has sensed their presence.Power is clearly drawn from the HDMI cables, so no separate power input is provided.
