Read many reviews of small sewing machines on Discount Delights and this appeared to be the best.I wanted a machine that I could put back in its box after use and store in a cupboard.I realised that it probably wouldn’t be suitable to sew heavy garments like denim, but easily managed to sew 4 layers of cotton to make bunting. Also altered a cotton summer skirt. It’s obviously light in weight and the extending attachment was solid enough to hold bunting.I never liked sewing at school, and threading the machine used to fill me with fear, but this arrived already threaded up and ready to go. I’ve not yet had to replaced the bobbins, but the paper instructions and on the video look easy enough. I would recommend for anyone starting out sewing and who may then progress to a more advanced machine, or just for lighter tasks/hobbies.

This machine works brilliantly – bought for our 12 year old daughter who has loved her textiles classes at school. It comes already threaded with white so we could get started straight away! When my daughter wanted to change the colour of the thread she managed to do it all herself using the accessories provided with the machine and the video on Discount Delights.
