I didn’t expect too much from these labels but from the first print test I was genuinely surprised how good these are!Packaging was very good, both boxes were shipped in an postal box, each spool is in their own box which looks a bit posh for what they are, opening them up was a little disappointing as they rattle around inside, but no biggie and easily forgiven once you get printing.Though it initially looks like you need to assemble them, you don’t as they are already assembled, a welcome surprise, but the plastic quality is awful, thin rubbish and the spool is super loose, at this point I was ready to give them a harsh review, BUT THING IMPROVED (sorry for shouty caps but there’s no underline).The spool fitted into my printer easily though it felt a bit wobbly due to the cheapo plastic, this does not affect the printing though, and having a looser spool is a benefit in my experience as you want them to flow out of the printer.I did a quick print test, I was expecting average results but as soon as I looked at them I was blown away with the quality, it is just as good as paper labels, the Brother print software had the label size in the options ’62mm Continuous Clear’ so you can make really long continuous labels which makes them far more versatile.Peeling them was a bit fiddly but I’m used to that as I cut up other labels into smaller ones, they are not 100% clear due to the adhesive backing but they are very close, this alone impressed me as the adhesive was nice and strong so they got that important balance just right.Once applied to items is where they look so much better than white paper labels, I’ve been sticking them on all sorts of random objects and they look so good and very professional, the adhesive sticks to pretty much everything within reason, plastics, metals, card, tiles, and more.I’ve had my label printer for years and I have always loved it, cheap labels and no consumables, but these clear continuous labels have given the printer a whole new lease of life! I printing like there’s no tomorrow as I keep finding new applications where paper would look too cheap and tacky, these look very professional.Despite the initial ‘cheap’ first impressions I can 100% recommend these, one of the best items of 2024 for me, for the price they are a bargain buy.
