This is a review of a sample of a Mtakyi multi fast 4 in 1 charging cable.The sample of the Mtakyi cable is ‘generic’ as there are similar products available on Amazon from other vendors. This is not a criticism as these multi cables are very useful. I have been using them for some time, including multi cables supplied by Mtakyi. Even though it is in the listing as a ‘4 in 1’ cable, the sample cable provided is a 4 in 2 cable. The the ‘2’ providies two options for inserting into a charging point – USB A and USB C. The ‘4’ are four ends for charging: Micro USB, USB C and two Lightning outlets. The charging outlets can be used individually or in parallel. If more than one outlet is used at the same time, charging speeds are reduced. I don’t use any products that have lightning ports so have adapters to convert the two lightning ends to USB C. On my earlier product these have worked perfectly well. I am grateful that the cable still has a Micro USB outlet as I have two devices, including a phone, that utilise Micro USB.Potential purchasers should be aware that there is a problem that every multi-cable I have used, suffers from. Micro USB ports are rated for around 10,000 connect-disconnect cycles, which is a relatively high durability rating for the device port. However most standard Micro USB cables are prone to become loose and fail far earlier than 10,000 connect-disconnect cycles. On my earlier Mtaky multi-cable, the three other cables continue to work perfectly after a year of use. The Micro USB cable has become loose and unreliable. The device being charged connects/disconnects itself at the slightest touch. I have seen some ‘unofficial’ techniques to tighten up a loose cable, however I have struggled to get these to work. The long term solution is to replace the Micro USB device with a USB C device that is more durable. If ‘unofficial techniques’ can’t fix a loose Micro USB cable, the short term solution is to replace the cable. If you are regularly using the micro usb end of the Mtaky multi-cable, it is likely to fail before the other three ends.The Mtakyi cable is longer than many other muli-cables being 3m in length with a useful velcro ‘strap’ that keep the ends tidy. Given that all the multi-cables I have come across have had the same issue with loose Micro USB connection, the Mtakyi ends up as a pretty good product.

So far so good – so I’ve given 5*.Having the option of USB-A and USB-C for the supply end is a good plus, and the adapter fits very snuggly which is good.You’ve obviously then got plenty of connections on the other end, with the real selling point for me being the 10ft length. This means we can easily have it plugged into the power bank and it reaches all the way to the other side of the sofa, meaning the usual “cable breakers” (aka our 4 and 5 year olds) don’t yank it.Time will tell whether it lasts, but the length should minimise the issues.

I always need to charge my phone in the car so this was the perfect solution and for when I have passengers.With multiple charging ends this has worked very well for a range of phones and devices.My only gripe is that the lead is very short for my car and the USBC connection is quite far down in the storage panel in my car.

We have several devices, and it seems like they all take a different cable type. I ordered this because I got tired of digging for the right cable, or needing to unplug the USB-c cable to plug in the lightning cable then unplugging that one to plug in the micro USB cable. My phone and tablet take different cables, as does all of my partners devices. It can be a hassle. We do have a USB charging station, but I hate the look of 3 or 4 cables plugged in at once. So, when I saw this…I didn’t hesitate to order it. I especially liked the length of it.This charging cable is fabulous, it easily charges all of our different devices, and doesn’t look like a crazy mess of cables. I am very happy with this cable, it not only charges everything but it does it super fast. In fact, it works as well as the super high speed charging cable that came with our Android phone. Plus, it is long enough that it easy reaches from the USB power port to the sofa, which means we can use our device while it is charging. My husband likes that part, no more standing next to the table to send a message or email while his phone is charging.

This charger cable is extremely useful. Rather than having to carry around several charger cables, now I only need to put one single cable in my work bag, which has several charger cables – 4 different types in 1.There’s the following:(1) 1 x Micro USB(2) 2 x Lightning (Apple)(3) 1 x USB-C(4) The charger end can switch between either USB-A (standard) or USB-C, which is extremely handy too, as I have charger plugs that contain either one, or the other, or both.I’m very happy with this product, and would highly recommend it.
