This DAC is incredible value for money and is a massive step up from the Korg DAC I was using previously. I’m listening through an Audio Note Oto SE amp and AN-J speakers which are very revealing of any issues but all I’m hearing is very holographic, three-dimensional and realistic sound that makes me keep wanting to turn up the volume to unneighbourly levels. I detect some slightly unnatural sibilance or shimmer on cymbals but it’s not unpleasant and actually sounds like the Signature version of my Oto that has silver wiring – I preferred the cheaper copper wired Oto, so maybe it’s just that I’m sensitive to sibilance. I used to mainly listen to vinyl but digital audio is now at such a high level that I’m not wanting for more.

Amazingly clear and noiseless. Bluetooth operation is great and my Android phone immediately picked-up LDAC communication with the D-6s. Initially linked with an older Acoustic Energy Aego 2.1 active speaker system for convenience and the results were really good. Will test on PA mixer and full hi-fi later. This DAC is so versatile, I can highly recommend it. Only thing I would put on the wishlist is an On/Off switch on the device* but that is only minor. If you stick to the philosophy of buying separates for future flexibility then this is a little bargain and has surprised a few reviewers recently when I Googled it. Superb packaging and remote control. Love it!*It can be switched into standby with the remote… Still learning! 🙂🙃

I wasn’t sure about upgrading my dac, there’s a lot of people out there that say they don’t make a difference it’s all about the Amp.Well I thought I’d try it out for myself and I can definitely say that this did make a difference a subtle one but a difference for the better.It added a little more excitement to my listening experience a slightly more cleaner sound.I did a lot of review searching before I settled on this small little digital to Anolouge converter. I I gotta say I wasn’t disappointed, well worth the money, the measurements speak for them selves

Amazing for the price,great sound quality, good settings available, and nice size.Frame is made out of a nice metal, and paint has lasted and not scratched easily.Demonstrates the signature S.M.S.L sound profile at a good price point.Probably the last DAC I will order for my personal desktopFor those curious, I have used it with HD600, HD6XX, HD560s, Meze Classic 99, Tin Hifi T4. No issues with sound quality noticeable across all headphones used.

Premessa: Discount Delights dovrebbe imparare a dare il tempo per le apparecchiature elettroniche prima di chiedere la recensione altrimenti si rischia di dare giudizi “approssimativi”. So perfettamente che è generata automaticamente la richiesta di recensione del prodotto. Ecco perchè mi sono preso un mese per testarlo bene.Vendiamo ora alla recensione vera e propria (per chi non è interessato di lettere tutti i passaggi intermedi andate direttamente alla conclusioni)Avevo inizialmente deciso di togliere una stella (mezza non si può) per il fatto che il pacco, come segnalato da molti, arriva senza sigilli e scatole di amazon ma direttamente con la scatola di cartone del produttore. Siccome mi è stato consegnato dalla postina e non da un corriere, forse lasciano il tutto libero per controlli postali/doganali ? Non lo so, ma per fortuna aprendo la scatola il prodotto era perfetto con tutti gli accessori a corredo (telecomando, antenna bluetooth, cavo di alimentazione, manuale e foglio di garanzia).Il prodotto si presenta meglio da quello che si vede in foto/video, è piacevole al tatto fatto tutto di alluminio, di plastica vera e propria c’è solo la manopola e l’antenna.Dimensioni perfette per uno desktop e non.Ho subito fatto l’aggiornamento del firmware, che ad oggi 26/11/2024 resta l’unico disponibile.L’aggiornamento non è complicato, ma sappiate che si può fare solo tramite windows una volta installato i driver. Oltre a questa penalizzazione per gli utenti Mac, come il sottoscritto, c’è la schermata di aggiornamento che è in cinese, quindi l’unico modo per capire se effettivamente è andato a buon fine è quello di vedere se il dispositivo si riavvia, se fa il riavvio in automatico vuol dire che è andato a buon fine.Sostanzialmente l’aggiornamento, va a correggere la numerazioni dei filtri anche se resta il primo FL1 ed il FL7 che potrebbero essere ancora invertiti, non si capisce. Ad ogni modo non si hanno penalizzazioni, in quanto, i filtri non cambiano di molto la sostanza.Configurazione desktop:Mac mini M2 – D-6s – REGA IO – JBL Stage A130 – Subwoofer Velodyne minivee XStanza: scarsi 17 mq con soffitto mansardato (Hmedia = 2m)Come suona?Suona veramente bene, a tal punto che mi ha quasi fatto passare la voglia di accendere il subwoofer, ha praticamente resuscitato il REGA IO.Prima di usare il D-6S utilizzavo il DAC interno del Mac Mini M2, poi la voglia di provare ad ascoltare pezzi a 24 bit mi hanno spinto a vedere cosa mi poteva dare un DAC esterno, non potevo fare la scelta migliore, non c’è paragone con il DAC interno, anche se molti scrivono il contrario ma probabilmente non hanno scelto un DAC decente.L’unica paura, che avevo (e che ho tutt’ora) è la durata… spero che duri perchè vale il prezzo del biglietto.Da circa 3 gg, con l’arrivo del Black Friday, ho deciso di prendere un amplificatore cinese con ingresso bilanciato per testare anche l’uscita bilanciata del D-6s, per cui ho messo in standby il REGA IO ed ho messo su un AIYIMA A70 collegato sia in bilanciato che sbilanciato.Sinceramente non ho riscontrati miglioramenti tra RCA e XLR.Ho collegato il D-6S anche con l’ingresso ottico ad un PC con Windows 11 Pro, e non ho notato i problemi che molti hanno riscontrato con il FOSI ZD3 e con il Topping D50III, che avevo deciso di provare per fare un confronto oggettivo, ma dopo aver visto i problemi sull’uscita ottica ho desistito, anche perché sono soddisfatto del D-6S, visto anche i costi degli altri due DAC (voglio evitare di fare la tarantella dei resi).L’unica cosa che mi fa storcere un po’ il naso con il D-6S è la scarsa reattività a volte del cambio di frequenza di campionamento sul display, soprattutto lato Mac. Probabilmente è lagato ai driver implementati su Foobar2000 lato Mac.Conclusioni:consiglio il prodotto perchè è veramente fatto bene e non ha problemi come la concorrenza diretta (Fosi ZD3, Topping d50III), inoltre avendo l’alimentazione dedicata si evitano problemi di doversi trovare un alimentatore dedicato. L’alimentatore, è fondamentale per la parte di preamplificazione, laddove il DAC ha il controllo di volume. La sezione di preamplificazione di questo dispositivo è fatta molto bene, ha resuscitato il mio REGA IO, ed anche l’Aiyima A70 (con alimentazione 48V, 5A) che sto testando è di un’altra categoria. Per capirci se si collega l’A70 direttamente all’uscita cuffie del Mac (cavo jack 3,5mm – RCA stereo), altro che 200W non arriviamo neanche a 10W!Senza il D-6s, l’A70 sarebbe già sulla via del ritorno verso Discount Delights, invece ora sto cercando di capire se ne vale la pena sostituire il REGA con questo piccolo in classe D, ma questa sarà la mia recensione sull’A70 prossimamente.Il D-6S è straconsigliato in tutto e per tutto… l’unico neo che mi resta (Non provato a dovere perchè non ho la possibilità, a parte Discount Delights Music base) è il bluetooth, che comunque non utilizzo perchè odio la musica in streaming.

非常にバランスが取れたDACです。
音を出した瞬間、おお!いいぞって思わず出てしまいました。これまでエントリークラスからミドルクラスまでのDACをを使って来ましたが、歴代の中でもトップクラスの出来ですね。全帯域で歪の無いスッキリとした感じで、心地良い音です。この手の製品は、使用期待度を上げる為に、高音とか低音を強調してインパクトを与えがちですが、そんな小細工を使わずに質の高さで勝負してますね。なので嫌な所が無く、気持ち良く聴けるんですね。曇った所が全帯域で感じられません。人によっては大人しい音に感じるかもしれません。大体が高音がキ−ンと伸びていて、中低がパンチの有る音作りが主流の感じがします。そう言うのが飽きた方にも良いかもしれません。コスパを考えると、価格の３倍は有るかと思います。いや、それ以上かもしれませんね。３倍出してもこまでの仕上りに成っていない製品も沢山有るんですよ。結局、値段では無いと言う事ですね。DAC機能に特化した製品ですので、行き着く人は限られて来ると思います。私も最近目に付いたんですから。もうこれ以上お金を使う必要が無くなったかも知れませんね。是非一聴あれ！

Excelente DAC, SMSL DS6
A éste precio es de los DAC de SMSL con menor distorsión, incluso menor qué algunos DAC de SMSL más caros, lo probé con Wiim Pro Plus conectado a amplificadores Marantz y Denon y se escucha súper bien, puedo pasar largas sesiones de escucha a volumen muy alto sin fatiga de mis oidos, y aunque no uso Bluetooth y lo probe para comprobar qué el equipo no tiene defectos también la transmisión por bluetooth suena bien dentro de lo qué cabe en cuanto a transmisión bluetooth, 100% recomendable.

Très bonne restitution du ‘message’ d’origine.Très proche des meilleurs DACs en terme de performance(SINAD) mais proposé au prix le plus bas.Economisez votre argent et n’achetez pas un DAC plus cher, vous n’entendrez AUCUNE différence.
