I’ev got a few different calipers , plastic and metal , and some have been terrible – for example one can’t even hold a stable zero when its placed on a table – but I’m really impressed with this one – it feels solid and seems accurate and even seems to return to zero when closed and not need resetting each time.It’s a very nice size to use on a mini-lathe or mill where the larger ones get awkward to position so you can see them, and the mm / inches button is better placed than others I’ve got so I don’t keep accidentally swapping units each time I pick it up.Given the sensible price I am very happy with it so far.

Decent all round for a digital and a very good price for a longer 200mm model. Only ever used traditional ones with vernier scales before which not everyone can read? One small drawback was that the “fine adjustment wheel” is a little looser than usual on verniers. That aside, it’s good to be able to read one in situ and not have to lock and remove it to see measurements.

It has a metal frame (not plastic as in cheap versions) with a clear digital read-out.It’s the first time I have seen (or even realised existed) a small form factor (100mm, not the usual 150 or 300mm). The smaller size makes it convenient in many respects, especially when only small items need to be measured.It comes in a stout plastic box with a spare battery and screwdriver.Very happy with the purchase and would certainly recommend
