  1. Ralf Rissing

Review update. After not even 2 weeks of use the boot is no longer holding air. I’ve now redamaged my ligaments and require the boot again but it will not hold air and I can’t find why. I have no idea how to contact the seller to ask what could be the issue either. So I’ve changed my review to 3 stars because it broke after 2 weeks.Super easy to put on! Pumping up was awkward at first but once I got the hang of it super easy. Only had to pump it back up once in 8 hours. Very light weight and comfy. This is by far the best boot I’ve had for torn ligament recovery. I’m a UK 5.5 and the small fits perfectly.

This boot has been amazing. It’s easy to use and adjust to your required size. It helps so much with mobility, function and getting around in general.I sprained my ligaments and tendons and the plastic split provided by the hospital was compressing the swelling too much and pretty useless to he honest. As you can adjust the compression of this boot it adjusts to the different stages of healing. I’m currently 5 weeks in, still swollen ankle and bruising. Without this boot I would not be able to walk anywhere even from one end of the house to the other.I highly recommend this to anyone who has had an ankle injury it will be the best thing you ever invest in.The package contains x2 red packets that include extra metal fittings and also X2 velcro patches. I’m female size 7 and the boot is true to size. Make sure when you put the boot on you push your heel towards the back of the boot with your foot completely flat on the floor and at no angle. Also do up the velcro straps starting from the bottom not top, once you’ve done all 3 adjust again for a better fit. The removable plate that protects the front of your foot make sure it’s linned up properly it shouldn’t go too far back and not to far forward. I line mine up with the base section that supports the toes. It all naturally lines up to be honest as it’s so well made.I have a narrow foot so the extra velcro patches came in handy. I added them on the end of the velcro on the boot and pressed firmly so it doesn’t come off. It’s a very strong velcro and stays put. The extra velcro allows me to pull the strap tighter and it sticks. Without it the two additional sections of velcro it does not stick tight enough for me. If you have a standard foot you’ll have no problems and as I mentioned they provide additional velcro anyway. The air part I mainly used when my ankle was huge with swelling. After that I had a small amount of air and the boot itself was so supportive I found it really comfortable.I’m confident you won’t be disappointed with this item and it will help you move around and aid your recovery.

Having fractured my ankle I was sent home from hospital with absolutely no support and advice my foot elevated and ankle would take 6-12 weeks to heal.Obviously impractical advice and whilst I could walk very carefully about the house I couldn’t manage outdoors for more than a few metres and very wary of people catching my ankle, tripping on uneven pavements etc. And if foot wasn’t kept supported or elevated it quickly became swollen and uncomfortable.I searched quite extensively and eventually settled on this boot, based on it being “lightweight”, curved, rocker sole and anti-slip.I’ve found it invaluable. Very comfortable and supportive and allowed me to get out and about, thus helping ankle to heal with gentle exercise and putting minimal pressure through it.Wore in the house at times when ankle was particularly uncomfortable and gave immediate comfort and support.Gradually built up distance outdoors and given confidence in crowded places. Managed to wear it for around 8 hours, with regular breaks but it does start to feel heavy and get tiring, and after 4 weeks I’m getting pretty fed up of it but it’s been a life saver.Air pump on the side which has worked well and really stabilises the ankle, does slowly deflate if walking a lot but easy enough to pump back up.Only caution is re size. I’m a UK 4.5 ladies and foot measured 9.4inches, so ordered a size small. Was just about the right size but couldn’t raise toe guard as toes overhung slightly. Anything above a size 4 I’d recommend sizing up to a medium.

  7. Alexo

    Moon boot

Boot is comfortable and easy to put on. Very happy with the product. I’m a size 8 and the medium was a perfect fit.

  8. Mr E

Used while recovering from broken toes. The fit was ok for UK size 10 but any bigger foot size than that and I think you’ll struggle. It’s comfy, sturdy and rolls the foot nicely forward without bending the toes so was the only way I could get around. The airbags worked although I think that feature is more for broken ankles so didn’t really effect me that much. The only improvement I wish they’d make is more padding on the insole as the padding on the insole wore down after 3 weeks or so making it more uncomfortable but the rest of the boot is great.

  9. Serge DANGUIN

Good product but the upper protection is sometimes sliding leaving the toes unprotected

  10. Mrs W.

I bought this while waiting for an appointment at the fracture clinic after breaking my ankle. The boot is very sturdy and provides good support and protection. When reading reviews to decide on the sizing I was really confused as some reviews suggested the size guide is wrong but it’s actually spot on. I am a size 5 so chose the boot recommended for my size. When I first put it on I was worried that it was too small as my toes seemed to hang over the front, however I did not have my heel at the very back of the boot. Once I’d (gingerly, because of the pain) repositioned my foot, the boot was a perfect fit and felt very secure. I would definitely recommend this if you need a boot. Together with some crutches, it’s given me more confidence to be on my feet again in the house and when I’ve had to go out for appointments etc.

  11. Average Joe

5 stars even with the flimsy inflation system.

I’m recovering from a sever sprained ankle. With a thick sock inside the boot it is very comfortable outside (winter) and provide a stable support to my injured ankle. It is not weather proof but I’m still happy with the purchase.Note: the inflation system is a joke. Two little bladders/lungs connected by a soft tube that easily comes off (deflating imediatly)
