Doesn’t work with Google pixel 8a. App on play store is too old to work with the phone too. Instructions are out of date for current android software

It does connect to android mobile to mirror the screen BUT when the phone is in portrait mode it displays in landscape on the tv so the tv picture is rotated 90 degrees. It’s only any good for landscape oriented photos.

I was hoping that this item would enable me to watch catch-up TV on my not-so-smart TV, but was sadly disappointed. It seems to be a well made device and easy to install, but not without serious shortcomings. The problems were awful picture quality (from a HD source), severe motion judder and about a 1sec sync delay between audio and video. I know it’s not the TV as an iPad with DP alt mode works perfectly in the same HDMI port on the TV.

Bought this for streaming from my phone on to a projector and it worked perfectly. Took a little while to get connected but in the end I figured it out.
