Had my old alarm removed but still needed a door chime of some description.This was easy to set up, has plenty of chime choices, not necessarily the best ones but still lots of choice nonetheless.It’s nice and loud too so it doesn’t matter where you are in the house, you’ll still here hear it.

Brought this for my father in law so that he knew when someone was opening his door. Works really well too. It was easy enough to fit. The only issue I had was that he has a upvc door that sits proud of the frame. I solved the problem with a spacer to bring the sensor and magnet back in line with each other so that it could work efficiently. And it does.

Thankfully this can be screwed in – the main body of it at least – which is a definite bonus because if you rely on the sticky back attached to it you will be very disappointed. I didn’t want to screw in until I was happy it worked well and it fell off the very first time I closed the door. The smaller piece doesn’t include screws but that has held, so far.I have the main body attached to my business front door to alert when customers come in, with the sound part in the kitchen at the back of the shop – a distance of around 20 metres and it works perfectly. I had read some people say they couldn’t get it to connect but I had no issues. I plugged it in, opened the door and it worked straight away. I haven’t tried to see if I could get the different sounds as I am happy with the generic ding-dong so can’t comment on how easy/difficult that is but if you’re happy to have a ding-dong then plug it in and away you go.
