The bag is generously sized. I have no knowledge of wheelchairs but the bag will certainly hold a large folding recliner. The bag is well made. The stitching of the seams, handles and zip is secure. The zip runs freely. The fabric is as thick as the material used for better quality garden furniture covers.The bag comes in its own zipped storage bag, made of the same material. I suggest that you repurpose this as you will almost certainly not succeed in repackaging the main bag!Although suggested for folding items, the bag can be used as storage for whatever you want. In my case, I store my bulky, but not particularly heavy, fishing items such as nets, tackle bags and waders. I then hoist them up and hang them from the rafters. It would have been the perfect way to safeguard a chair on an aeroplane and feels sturdy enough to withstand the rigours of flying.Sadly, even though the product is great in and of itself, the size didn’t suit our needs—my wife’s wheelchair wouldn’t fit.
