This uses a battery, which lasts quite a long time. The light function allows you to see the time by pressing a button. The alarm is easy to set and the size and colour were perfect for my decor. It is good value for money. Very sturdy as I have knocked it on the floor a few times. The ticking is not really apparent until you hear it, it’s a faint sound and probably only audible if you have sensitive hearing – really sensitive hearing.

This clock is a bit of a find. I have gone through four or five travel alarms in the recent past. In contrast to all of them, this one is accurate, reliable and (important for those of us with dodgy hearing) loud enough.The accuracy is obviously a factor of the analogue, not digital, design. With a couple of goes, I was able to set clock and alarm with an accuracy of +/- two minutes.Setting up is simplicity itself – you do need to have a reasonable amount of digital dexterity, as the control buttons are of the push and turn at the same time variety.The snooze function works fine,as does the light, activated by the same front-mounted button.The face and hands are clear and readable at the relevant distance for the average alarm clock.Power is 1xAA battery.In summary, I really can recommend this clock.

I needed a cheap, small silent clock, as I wanted to time a yoga and meditation class. This is small and discreet. It is easy to read and it also has a suprisingly loud alarm, which would be useful if travelling. It doesn’t look terribly robust, so not like those metal and leather fold up travel clicks of old, but it does its job and it’s not expensive.

Easy to read, easy to use and is very lightweight to take around with you, but it does run fast. It runs ahead by an extra 2.5 mins every week. [Which is fine if you only use it for a few hours on one day and then resit it next week. Or if you’re only travelling for a week or so.] It’s fairly durable and the light works well (goes on when you press it, and off when you release the button).
