Temtop ist am Markt keine unbekannte Firma, dies Jahr waren sie auf der CES 2025 vertreten.Auf eine Anfrage antwortete man innerhalb vierundzwanzig Stunden in deutscher Sprache.Ich habe zwei Temtop S1Up Messgeräte bestellt um meine Innenraum Luftqualität etwas näher zu betrachten.Die Geräte werden mit einer ansprechenden Schachtel und in einem siebzehn seitigen Handzettel mit einfach zu verstehender Anleitung in englischer Sprache geliefert. Kurz erklärt wird u.a. die Zusammensetzung von PM2.5 und dem AQI Wert, der sich nach der amerikanischen EPA Umwelt Behörde orientiertDas Gerät lässt sich mit einem Akku oder per mitgeliefertem USBC C – auf USB A Netzteil betreiben. Letzteres wird nicht mitgeliefert. Beide sind jeweils mit einem 1m und 2m USB C Kabel am Stromnetz für Echtzeitaktualisierung verbunden.Man packt es aus und schaltet es oben per Tastendruck ein und ist dann betriebsbereit. Hinten gibt es einen kräftigen magnetischen Bügel, der sich variabel drehen lässt.=========================Gemessen werden: PM2.5 und AQI.=========================Ich hatte es anfangs für ein paar Stunden im Freien gestellt. Es gibt zwei Moden: Eco und Auto.Am Strom angeschlossen liefert es Daten in Echtzeit. Das LCD Display ist mir in seiner Ablesbarkeit etwas zu blass und könnte kräftiger sein.Man kann es zusätzlich an einer Powerbank anschließen mit Echtzeitaktualisierung. Praktisch, um die Luftqualität zwischen geöffnetem Fenster und Innenbereich abzulesen.Der CO2 Wert der mit einem anderen Gerät gemessen wird ist mit dem PM2.5 und AQI unabhängig. Während CO2 bei menschlicher Anwesenheit in geschlossenen Räumlichkeiten immer höher steigt, verändert sich der Feinstaub PM2.5 und AQI in ihren Werten fast gar nicht.Das ändert sich erst mit Tätigkeiten in den Räumen. Diese machen sich am meisten in der abgetrennten Küche bemerkbar. Den höchsten Wert gab bisher beim Brotbacken mit dem elektrischen Automaten, dort stieg die Display Ampel in den roten Bereich auf über <200 beim Temtop. Unterschiede gibt es ebenfalls beim Kochen. Am wenigsten belastet die Heißluft Fritteuse und der Schnellkoch Automat.Eine hohe Verschlechterung bringt der Gasherd, selbst bei nur einer Flamme und zubereiten einer zwanzig minütigen Suppe steigen die gesamten Werte PM2.5, AQI und CO2. Da hilft beim kochen dann nur offene Fenster und Türen mit Frischluft.Seit ungefähr sieben Jahren nutze ich Luftreiniger. Die Außenluft war hier Zeit abhängig noch nie so schlecht, wie in diesem Jahr von Januar bis jetzt April. Stellte ich das Temtop zur Messung ans geöffnete Fenster war das schnell erkennbar, mit Höchstwerten von bis zu <75 AQI und ca. 60 PM2.5 beim Feinstaub, bei blauen Himmel und Sonnenschein.Abhängig scheint es auch zu sein, wo man die Geräte beim durchlüften in den Räumen platziert, nicht überall sind die Messwerte gleich, was evtl. mit dem Luftstrom zusammen hängen könnte und inwie-weit welcher Feinstaub tatsächlich in die Wohnung eindringt. Mit Platzierung von mehreren Luftreinigern, habe ich den erkennbaren Staub auf Möbeln wesentlich in den letzten Jahren reduzieren können. Bei Teppichen merke ich allerdings nichts davon.Insgesamt gesehen, dienen mir die neuen Geräte zur Sensibilisierung fürs eigene Umweltverhalten.

Doesn’t work. You have to click the button for the sensor to refresh properly, it’s pointless.

The device’s readout of air quality works best 20 seconds after turning on, but unless the device is plugged in to the charger, it will not update continuously but will stop measurements after 3 minutes 15 seconds (or earlier in Eco mode) and then it will refresh very rarely. The reading sometimes spikes for a moment, so if the device freezes at that moment, you will be stuck with the wrong value for around 20 minutes.The measurement of the temperature is accurate (and does not freeze), it agrees to within 0.2C with my other thermometer.But the measurement of humidity is woefully inaccurate. I own a dehumidifier which monitors the live humidity and I also have a mechanical hygrometer and the former says the humidity now is 59% the latter says 60%, but this air quality monitor says it’s 50.2%. Clearly nonsense.The customer support of Elitech UK is amazing, though

Great piece of equipment for monitoring air qualityI use it in our bedroom and as a result of higher values, I purchased an air purifier. Both my husband and myself have noticed a better night’s sleep. Great value for money and easy to use. Displays are easy to read and it comes with easy to use instructions.

It is a nice small gadget to have around the house. It’s easy to read and to charge.The only snag is that it needs to be constantly plugged in to update second by second.I do not leave it plugged in permanently but do so every other hour or so. That, I thinkis often enough to check your air quality or temperature.
