This was nice and cheap and very easy to set up straight out of the box. It has a button activated back-light so you are not always blinded by it and the big buttons make it easy to set and turn on/off. The display is so large you can easily see it when you are still half asleep. It is so light weight that you can take it with you when you travel too.

This had good reviews. As I like a totally dark room, I was concerned this might “glow” but the adjustable light level means I can switch off the backlight completely. It is a sturdy clock with a decent weight, not flimsy. It does take 3 aa batteries so hope they last well. It has a good clear display and is easy to set up. Tried the alarm last night ( I’m retired so don’t need to get up early lol) , you can alter the sound level which is also good but possibly lowest level may not wake from a sound sleep. As someone previously said the date is in American format unfortunately but not really a massive problem. Very pleased with product so far. Edit. Bought a second clock for another room. Works great.

I like the clock in general. It’s nice looking and sturdy. However, once set, it shows the wrong day of the week ( probably just mine has it wrong as can’t see this in other reviews). In manual it says that once time and date is set, the day of the week will be displayed automatically. It’s showing Thurs instead of Fri, a bit annoying but I will just have to learn to ignore it. Also, the 2 little dots between hrs and mins are not still, they keep blinking, just a note for all ocd people who might find this disrupting 🙂 These are just little things, not a big deal for me but might be for others, will see how long it will last though. Will give an update as only had it for few days.

Great little clock. Very neat, easy to read with nice big numbers. Backlight brightness adjustment. Easy to setup and adjust. A bargain price too. Shame it’s a useless alarm clock. Alarm far too quiet to be of any use which is why I am returning it.

Bought for my son who is a heavy sleeper and difficult to awaken for school. This alarm clock has all the features I need in an alarm clock – 5 minute snooze function whereas most alarm clocks have 10min function which is too long for me, easy access snooze button (on top,) alarm set time always visible, backlight for nighttime and a loud alarm.Despite the instructions stating the snooze alarm repeats just 5 times after first pressing the snooze button, it actually keeps repeating every 5mins until the alarm is turned off completely by the button on the back of the clock. Can choose from two different alarm volumes, though the alarm isn’t crescendo, it just remains at the same volume set. Haven’t tested how long the alarm sounds until the snooze or cancel button is pressed, but it certainly keeps sounding for quite a while.Pressing the button on top of the clock activates the backlight, and doubles up as the snooze button when alarm sounds. Easy to read display, can set the time to either display AM/PM or 24hr clock.

I purchased this because my wife’s eyesight has deteriorated so much. Too much for this clock, alas, but that is no fault of the clock. I thought it excellent with its choice of brightness, large clear figures for the time, etc. My wife still likes it. She finds it “comfitting” to see – but I am still woken up to be asked the time. Really, though, an excellent clock for the money with its simplicity of use and design.

**EDIT**I bought a new version 2 1/2 years after my 1st as my original was damaged by faulty batteries. Unfortunately the new version only has 4 snoozes and just stops. For an Olympic snoozer this is a potential job loss waiting to happen. I’m devastated. I’ve now got another alarm set whilst I research dim, silent alarm clocks all over again…***Really pleased with this purchase. I have been on a holy grail search for a silent, simple alarm clock for years. I’ve had a wooden traditional clock but the quality was unreliable. I needed a digital clock that I couldn’t see if I opened my eyes (or I lay in bed clock watching).This is brilliant. It’s a compact size but the display is a good size to see. The snooze/light button is on top and easy to find. Date and temp on display also. Setting buttons on the back are easy to use. Alarm is loud but not nuclear and totally reliable. You can alter the volume and brightness to suit you.BUT you do have to turn it on each night. (I’ve forgotten once, but thankfully also have a hungry cat.)You can’t go wrong with this clock, it does what it says on the tin.

It’s compact and clear to see. The picture shows it on the middle of 3 brightness settings. The lowest setting blanks the screen brightness at night if you don’t like a glowing screen. You press the snooze button on top to illuminate the clock to see the time but beware it’s like a camera flash going off and lasts around 5 seconds before it goes dark again. The middle setting isn’t intrusive and it’s easy to view at night. I haven’t used the alarm so can’t comment on that.I found it a bit of a faff to set the clock up the first time but only because I hadn’t realised that the date set up was American rather than British, ie. Month then date so the day kept coming up wrong . Once I inputted it that way the correct day popped up. Happy with my purchase.
