Not only was this time-consuming but it was also difficult to ensure the accuracy of the data due to mistakes, illegible entries, missing entries (forgetfulness) and, sadly but fortunately rarely, occasional dishonesty. All of which places a huge burden on our recourses.This Access/Clock-in device from Bisofice has changed all that. With very reliable face recognition, fingerprint recognition, digital password key-in, or digital RF card scan/tap. Access to a workspace, or any other secure area like a college etc., is accurately recorded and controlled.Our employees are very happy too as it saves them time, allows several methods of use, and means they don’t have to worry about mistakes.Data can be accessed and downloaded in several ways:- directly on the unit (with the admin password), via a USB flash drive, or over a network using wifi or wired ethernet.Users (employees) can have any or all methods of entry assigned to them. Once set up, the unit operates very fast, recognition is almost instant, and so far, it has been very accurate. The unit errs on the side of caution, for example, should face recognition fail because of an ambiguous face image for example, maybe the user looks a little different on that day (glasses, no glasses, hat, hair etc), then it asks for additional verification i.e. fingerprint, PIN or card.The instruction manual is not brilliant, and the English translation is not the best, however, most settings are straightforward, intuitive and easy to understand. It is simple and quick to get up and running and to add, edit and remove users.The included PC software comes on a CD and is much better explained, installation is simple and, again, user-friendly and intuitive. The PC software is not essential for the operation of the unit but is an excellent facility which not only allows access to the machine via the network but also downloads, stores, collates, manages and organises the users’ data information.For a relatively small outlay, this is one of the best investments we have made in a long time.Included in the box is a 500mb USB2 flash drive, power supply, USB cable, user manual, PC software CD, and a sample RF digital ID card.Digital RF scan/touch cards are readily available to buy online at reasonable prices. This clocking in machine has numerous features and is excellent value for the price. The unit seems very well made and it was reasonably easy to set up. It’s ideal for a small business that wants to ensure accuracy of time worked, not only for time keeping but for overtime payment, time off etc.The unit will identify by face recognition or card or fingerprint, so there’s choice. Cards are supplied and it’s easy to obtain additional cards if required. It works almost instantly and is accurate. There’s a cd to set up on a pc which I haven’t tried, but that will increase the way in which the data can be stored and managed and is worthwhile if you have a number of employees you want to manage. I’ve used the usb stored data and it’s sufficient for my needs. This unit is signify less expensive than another I tried and I’ve no hesitation in recommending.
