Bought to slice homemade loaf and roast joint. Does both beautifully. Meat cut amazingly thin, just as we like it but easy to adjust if thicker required. Bread slices nice and even, no effort needed. Really pleased with this purchase. Arrived super quick, one day earlier than stated. One draw back, instruction leaflet only states the dangers to be aware of and not much on how to put it together, so just guessed but seem to have it right!

Despite being compact and lightweight, it maintains excellent functionality, which I’m very satisfied with. I was able to slice a large piece of meat that had been frozen for about four hours into very thin slices for shabu-shabu and sukiyaki. I was initially worried about potential injuries, but the design makes it difficult to hurt yourself, so I can handle it with confidence. The only downside is that it can’t be completely washed. However, most parts can be disassembled and cleaned, and even the parts connected to the motor can be wiped thoroughly. So, I’m still happy to give it four stars.

I use this meat slicer for a small catering business. It’s used every day. It’s compact and great to store, as we are short on space. Easy to clean, comes apart quickly. Perfect for slicing joints of meat with ease.

This meat slicer is quite flimsy and not at all simple to clean. It does however do the job quite well after practice and you get used to how flimsy the thing is. As you apply slight pressure to the meat against the unit the plastic gives way and the slices are then much thicker than you set the size for, so care is needed. You also can’t simply slice away happily as you need to catch each slice with your left hand and therefore have to take your hand off the power switch and grab the slice, alas the switch hand gets very greasy and consequently so does the power switch, messy all round. The unit has to be completely disassembled to clean it sadly.The up side, it does slice quite well, if you want better performance and design, you will have to part with much more money, therefore, for the price, you get what you pay for and I could not justify paying much more for something that will only get occasional use, so for me if it doesnt fall apart, then I’ve got what I paid for, and it does the job reasonably well for the price.

Great Little Gadget
This is not a top of the line item, but it certainly does the job for us. Our main criteria was that it had to be compact. This fits into a very small space in our very small kitchen. It works well for home made bread. My only complaint is that the food carrier is really small. When I’m trying to slice a loaf of bread, I’m forced to uncouple the food carrier and not use the food pusher in order to keep the loaf in place to slice. This results in a “bump” as the carrier hits the stop and jumps over. I think they need to consider the fact that most food that you want slice is larger than a can of SPAM, which is the only thing I can think of that might fit on this without the need to circumvent practically all of the safety features. Except for that, it’s awesome!
