This a great set!!!I know a lot of people are troubled by the fact that it has two different size sets of soldiers but what’s amazing about it is the amount of terrain that comes with it and the historical accuracy of the World War II German tanks. The tanks loom to be 20 mm in scale and it also includes 150 soldiers of American German and Russian troops. While the quality isn’t that great the size is again 20 mm allowing your child to play with a lot more soldiers in a small area and have a greater scale of the feel of a battle.You get a host of different types of terrain from Towers to Hill’s to trees. You also get a tan and green force of 54 mm soldiers about 30 of each as well which seem to be a little more on the modern side.Overall this is an excellent set and if you are a wargaming enthusiast who plays 20 mm your pick up for a good German tanks as well as 150 filler troops for a great price.

My 7 year old asked for “war figures” for his birthday. Turns out he didn’t mean Civil War like I thought. Good thing I scrolled through while he picked out a few sets he wanted. I decided on this one and it’s great. Has lots of guys, tiny equipment, and other fun things to set up a war scene. Once he dumped the entire bag on the living room floor and didn’t clean them up I was hoping they’d be poky when stepped on. I told him “I bet you can’t walk across the whole the whole thing.” Challenge accepted. He walked across, at first he was ok, and then “OWW!!” He then picked them all up and put them away. Success all around. Bonus, no toys were harmed in this lesson.

The army men are various scale sizes – not all the same height. Lots of fun little hide outs and site placement pieces. some extra items of various sizes for play time

I bought these for my grandson and he loves them. He plays with them everyday, which I love. There are so many other toys I have bought that he’s “really wanted” and played with a few times, then they sit. The price is fantastic and the quality is great. I would definitely buy again and recommend to others.

The variety of items is such a mix of stuff and will serve it’s purpose . I wouldn’t suggest this set for older kids who are wanting authentic pieces or for classroom/study use. The army men are different sizes but only the tan and green men have any of the normal sized men, the silver and red are only the smaller sized ones. While we didn’t expect the men to fit into the vehicles, The airplanes and tanks seem to be out of place with this set. We also received a strange piece of greenery, much like you would find in a fish tank, it was about a foot long and very flimsy (this one got tossed in the trash). There are guns that do not belong with this set as they are about 3-4 inches long and look to be more of action figure type guns. As for the flags there are 2 for Great Britain but the other 2 are Russian (not German) as stated. Overall the pieces are good for my young child to play with but if you are looking for the same type of Army figures you had as a kid this isn’t it!

My grandsons had a lots of fun setting these up. There are lots and lots of pieces, so they sometimes don’t get them all out of the bag, before the action starts. Well worth the money.
