This review is based on using this headset for work conference & video calls. I have not used it for gaming or listening to music.Maybe I am old-fashioned, but I prefer wired headsets over Bluetooth. Wired headsets are simple to use whereas a Bluetooth headset is just another device to charge up every evening. This one requires no special drivers, so you just plug it in and give Windows a couple of minutes to sort itself out, then it is ready for use.This headset is Lightweight & comfortable, so good if you spend a lot of time on calls in a shared space (I prefer using a speaker and microphone, but that doesn’t work in a shared office).The incoming sound quality is good and I am told others can hear me clearly.It has the controls you usually get with headsets – incoming volume, mute incoming and outbound sound – as well as various adjustments to how it fits. I find some headsets a bit small, but this one fitted easily.It is lightweight.It comes with USB-A and USB-C connections, so it could be used with a phone or tablet as well as with a laptop or PC.It comes with a bag to store it in and is quite slim when stored, so fits easily into a laptop bag.

I am using this headset massively for my meetings and and I am pretty happy about it. Earpads are confortable and sound is clear and well balanced. Installation was pretty quick and standard by just pluggin in them to the usb port (USB C or A are good) and they don’t need drivers. I am regularly using with Zoom, Teams and Skype with any troubles.

I am quite disappointed with this headset. Although a generic device, it isn’t cheap, so I was expecting it to be easy to use and functional.Straight away it was obvious it was too tight and no amount of adjustment would make it not crush my ears. I wonder who tested these, children?Next, the sound is poor, my 20 year old £15 Sony headset makes these sound tinny. There is bass, but it is basically just thumping, there is no clarity.Worst of all is the mic, which on windows testing was giving me a maximum of 6% volume. That’s with me talking about twice my normal volume. Talking normally came to 2-3 percent. Amazingly, Discord was able to make use of this using its AI tech, and people could make out what I was saying, but there was static and the odd lost word. All my other apps said the mic volume was too low to be used. I tried for an hour to fix this physically and in software, but nothing worked.The physical controls are fine, they are basic but get the job done.It might be that I got a bad unit, these things happen, and I doubt they are testing all the mics on these before sending them out.I can only give it three stars as it’s not really usable for me, nor would it be worth £25 if everything worked.

I can’t offer an opinion on whether these headphones would be any good for gaming (I suspect they would not be) but they are great for work conference calls.Given all the limitations placed on my company laptop I was pleasantly surprised to find that they worked straight away with no need to load any drivers or anything – which would not have been possible on the work computer. I could hear the other end very well and they said that I was very clear too.They feel comfortable enough to wear, though I tend not to use headphones for more than an hour or two unless it is a really meeting-heavy day. The in-line controls are pretty standard, but a lot more compact than those on my company-issue headset. The cable it a bit less bulky too.So why am I using these if I have a company headset? Well these are a lot less bulky and come with a decent bag to keep them in, so are a lot better for travelling. I will be keeping these in my bag for when I go onsite or visit other sites and I’ll keep the others for when I am in my WFH office.There is also an adaptor so that this headset can plug into a USB-C socket. In theory this means I could use it with my phone too. I don’t have a need for that at the moment, but I guess its nice to know it is an option.Overall I am happy with this and it will make my work travel a bit easier.

I like these on-ear earphones – not because they have the greatest sound reproduction when playing music but because they are very good for conversations and meetings on my laptop.They are lightweight, easy to adjust and sit very comfortably on my head.They are controlled by a good size inline controller that makes the buttons easy to find and easy to use.I’ve found that the built in noise control in the microphone filters out background sounds quite well so I don’t need to make sure everything is totally quiet around me.They come supplied with a USBA to USBC adapter so you can so I can also use them on my tablet which only has USBC ports as well as potentially on my phone.Whilst they are not Bose or B +W i do think they are good quality especially considering the £20 price tag (Aug 2024).
