Great for keeping the disc at a set level, reduces dust to a tolerable level. Still require a mask but its definitely an improvement. The vacuum adaptor is a bit short but duct tape holds it all together.

Initially I purchased a branded shroud for my angle grinder to try and level an uneven concrete floor in my garage. Unfortunately, it did not fit the angle grinder so was returned.I therefore took a risk of buying the HERZO at approx. 1/2 the cost of the branded one, therefore not expecting too much.To my surprise it was relatively straight forward to fit the shroud to my Dewalt DCG412. There are three slotted spacers to choose from if the neck of your angle grinder is too thin and the gap around the shroud needs reducing. The shroud threaded clip fastening is easy to use and can be further tightened with the nut. The rubber hose for the hoover to shroud attachment is not perfect but I managed with some gaffer tape to secure my Henry Hoover without too much effort and so dust collection is perfectly acceptable. Overall little dust escapes which meant I wasn’t having to move all items outside of the garage before work commenced.The shroud has a section that can be turned away from the top to allow close work to the edge of walls etc. The fitting of the hoover hose close to the right side of the angle grinder really only allows dust extraction to the right, therefore I could use only use the angle grinder side handle on the front left but again a minor issue.I would have probably given the item a 5 but for the hoover attachment.Personal choice – As the concrete cutting disc wore down I added a couple of ordinary washers to lower the disc closer to the shroud edge – obviously making sure they were right diameter and safety wasn’t compromised!

Bought for one project – it does exactly what it says – 0 dust !!!! Money well spent to improve healthy workflow without breathing harmful concrete dusts . Well designed and very handy gadget to have in a toolbox . Very easy to put on a grinder .

I bought this to try and keep the dust down whilst raking out old pointing inside a fireplace and cleaning the bricks.Sadly in this situation, the shroud was too large to let the blade of the 115mm diamond disk reach the brickwork. Then later on when using a large wire wheel cup brush mean that the dust was not caught by the attached vac.I am sure in a surface grinding application the shroud will work well. Since I have now used the item I am planning to modify it by cutting the plastic so that a 115mm blade will protrude from the edge of the shroud.

I had to grind a ridge in my concrete kitchen floor. Ready to lay new laminate. I bought this shroud in the hope of minimising the dust that would be kicked up during grinding concrete. I was very sceptical of it working. How wrong I was. Not a spec of dust escaped the shroud. Well worth the expense.

Really useful, saved a huge amount of dust when levelling my kitchen floor. Two things that I found problematic though, one the brushes fitted when using a 110mm Grinding Disc meant you really had to force the grinder down to compensate for the high of the brush, either that or grab a small spacer to bring the head of the disc closer to the floor.Secondly and maybe more troublesome was that even though its a universal fit, I had to grind out a small piece to get it to fit the DeWalt Grinder ( with easy adjustable collar ) taking out a 10mm x 5mm notch did the trick, wasted an hour getting it to fit, but offset by the big cost saving for a DeWalt Branded Shroud.
