I bought this magnifier floor lamp for doing cross stitch. It has a very nice bright light and I can move it around into any position I want. It is quite sturdy and has a large square solid base. It only comes with a usb wire so be aware you may need to have a suitable plug handy. Very happy with purchase.

I bought this lamp for crafting and reading. The mechanical parts work OK if a bit clunky but it does stay in the position it’s put in without dropping. The stand is just the right height for my desk or armchair and the weight in the base keeps it stable. I haven’t tried the desk clamp but it looks sturdy enough. The magnification is good and the light is bright enough at its highest setting. The light itself is comprised of 36 LED bulbs. I know they last a long time but I do wonder about getting replacements. The USB cable is approximately 4′ 6″ in length and carries the switch. I think the switch could be a weak point. I’ve had devices with similar and they seem to be the first thing to fail. Overall I’d say it is good for the price.Update.I bought this less than four months ago. The pin on the lamps arm that fits into the stand has sheared off rendering the lamp unusable. Its made of thin mild steel and was to weak to stand up to everyday use.I withdraw all stars. Do not buy it’s not fit for purpose!

This is a good magnifying lamp, ideal to use at half height, perfect for hand sewing. BUT the bendy arm moves about from side to side because the screw hole attaching it to the stem is too big. How can this be corrected, please?
