   I made a custom mount for this handbrake to attach it next to my existing gear stick and it works really well. The cable is long enough to plug in, it feels sturdy and you have an adjustment screw on the back of the handbrake to set how much travel distance you would like. It’s worked with all of the games I’ve tried such as a asetto Corsa, dirt three, F1.It just works as expected and feels the quality product for the price.

   Bought this to go alongside my G29 wheel/pedals/shifter setup. It does do what I need it to do, as I don’t often play racing games, but wanted the immersion of having to pull a lever to toggle/hold the handbrake when I’m playing Snowrunner or EuroTrucking. It works as a slider/axis (like a throttle control), so I have to use x360ce to map this to the RB button of a virtual xbox controller. I also use the same setup to control the parking brake in MSFS 2020.Whilst it does work ok for this, I must say that I’m very disappointed with the item in all other regards.The clamp, while looking sturdy, does not hold very well to a desk. I’ve had to tighten it all the way just to get it to hold at all, and this has resulted in the clamp actually bending. If you make it looser, the whole unit just comes off the desk when you pull the lever. For something that looks so strong, it’s actually very poor quality.Even with it clamped as tight as possible, after some hours of use, the whole unit begins to shift on the desk, so I have to unclamp it, move it back to position, then tighten the clamp again. I have a feeling that the poor quality of the clamp will not hold up to these constant adjustments though, so I’m probably going to have to spend yet more money on replacing the whole clamp for soemthing stronger.Speaking of poor quality, the sensor that tells the PC how far the lever is being pulled, is absolutely rubbish. It’s constantly jittering, so you can never get a stable reading, and on top of that, pulling the lever all the way actually causes the sensor to detect that it’s going PAST the maximum and start going back DOWN again??? I have tried various calibration methods on the PC, but there’s really no way to make full use of the distance that the lever can be pulled. At the lower end (with the lever completely pushed away, or even just let go), there is also a large dead zone. Calibrating also does not fix this, neither do the physical adjustments on the unit itself. No matter what you do, or how you set this up, you will still have a dead zone at the start of the lever movement, and either a huge deadzone, or a retraction of input at the end of the lever movement.The lever itself also is not great. It often “sticks” when you release the lever, so it doesn’t go all the way back to the start postion….again, meaning that if you are wanting to use the entire length of travel, you’d have to actually PUSH the lever back to the start postion. The spring inside seems to be positioned to add resistance to the lever being pulled away from the start postion, and it does push the level back part way when released, but it could probably do with another spring the other side to pull it back the rest of the way? For example, if you pull the lever and lift the red tab to lock the brake…releasing the red tab should cause the lever to go all the way back to the start, but it doesn’t, only goes half way.Again, for my use case, I can get around this by setting a fairly high triggering position in the x360ce software, so that when it’s released, even though it’s still “on” to some extent, the software will not register it as being enough to trigger the virtual button press. For use as an analogue brake though, it would be pointless, as unless you physically push the lever back, the brake would be constantly on.So as an analogue brake, it’s actually pretty useless, especially at £80+If you are happy paying this amount just for it to act as a digital button press/hold, then you can use something like x360ce to map it to a button of your choice.This is actually what I bought it for, so to be fair, it does do what I need it to, but I think it’s fair to warn other buyers that if you want this as a racing/ralley ebrake, don’t bother. It’s very poorly put together, and is not at all durable, sturdy, or precise.I do enjoy using it as a physical interaction in Snowrunner/EuroTrucking/MSFS, but definitely don’t reccommend it for racing or any other analogue use case.

   My first usb handbrake, it seems well made & feels good when using it on my setup. Sim drifting has been way more fun with this! Easy to setup my laptop (what? A laptop… yes, it’s a real basic setup that works) automatically installed all the drivers needed & all that was needed was to setup a slight dead zone in the settings as the brake does register on/off very slightly when not in use…Looks good, works well & does the job!

   Does what it needs to do.Pros- Great build quality, I’ll break my table before I break the handbrake.- Adjustable travel length.- Adjustable clamp for thick or thin table mounting- Nice soft grip- Plug and playCons- Sounds like a rusty old paper hole puncher- About 50% of total travel of the lever is pure dead zone so it needs to be adjusted for a stiffer setting- Cable looks removable from the handbrake – DON’TAdditionally, as it was purchased 2nd hand, had no manual included for me to check if it was assembled correctly nor see if there was software I could use to adjust the dead zone of the lever.Overall if you’re not bothered about the absolute brutality this handbrake can be, it’s perfect for beginner sim racing.

   The build of the handbreak itself is great and will clearly last a long time. It worked great until a couple months in, I had issues with the handbrake constantly disconnecting and reconnecting to my pc. To resolve this I held down the cable on the handbreak end and put a heap of hot glue on to hold it in place. A couple months later the handbrake started to act glitchy then the PC wouldn’t recognise half of the handbrakes travel distance, to resolve this I removed the magnet assembly at the top of the handbrake and noticed that half of the pins of the component werent soldered on the PCB and no longer made contact, so I used pliers to bend the pins and now it’s works again. Looking forward to the next problem I have to sort out
